9 years old

Cause that's what I have! a 9 year old?! where has the time gone.  so many events, memories, scraped knees, first achievements and adventures....

I have tried to keep photo memories of it all - likely too many photo memories of it all! HA.

Today I host, what will likely be, the last BIG friends party for Jake.  I cannot believe I am here.  I feel like I just got started and have finally figured it out only to be done?! It's not that we won't celebrate his birthday next year - 10 is a biggie!  but it likely won't involve 18 children and a movie theatre with cake and loot bags.  So today I will try to balance the camera with cherishing the moments.  Jake is so excited! All his grandparents will be there.  All his buds will be there.  Fingers crossed it is a success - with only minor hiccups.

In other news. I'm working in the garden today - we are finally moving on the front garden plans. I'm thrilled by the 2 new babies we have to plant.  2 beautiful rhododendrons.  I can't wait to set the beds for them and get them into their new home.  I hope they love it out front and flourish as those who went before them did.

Andre is busy planning our trip to NYC for the end of May. seems a lifetime away but I am so looking forward to some time away together.  Popping into little boutiques and well know flagship stores...seeing the latest fashions in store windows, eating delicious food, strolling through the parks and just being part of the mania that is NYC!
