We've had a week of winter - nothing wrong with that; it's February, in Canada - we should expect it. And, when you do, it's actually rather fun. Yes, some plans get cancelled but other plans get made! We've had a wonderful weekend of blizzard nemo....full of outdoor play, playdates with friends and friends for dinner! The one thing we didn't get to was skiing - oddly with all the snow we couldn't actually get to the hill HA. funny that. We hope everyone is safe and warm as we are supposed to have rain in the next 72 hours.
I completely forgot to mention that the kids had backward day at school last week. they had lots of fun wearing clothes inside out and backwards....and I have not talked about Jake and his book. He's passionate about writing....and has written 3 shorter books...his current book is over 100 pages and he spends time each day typing more. Andre is the editor of the early books which we hope to create shortly (I am going to input them into a blurb book and have them printed for Jake - I'd love to have it ready for his 10th birthday but we'll see). When he's not reading, or writing his own book he's busy writing scripts with his 2 friends who then get together weekly to act it all out and video tape it. Then Jake takes the videos and edits them in iMovie to add music, text and create trailers. It's actually quite amazing.
We are all so exhausted after all the fresh air and shovelling (and fort building) that we are going to cozy up on the sofa and watch a movie tonight....phew!
