Family Visits

Well, We had a wonderful week visit with Nana - that also included a wonderful evening with Aunt Elaine and Uncle Bob from Newfoundland (while en route to Cuba - lucky ducks!)....somehow I didn't get a single picture with nana - so sorry nana!! :(  you'll just have to come back HA.

Meme made another beautiful meal.  All very yummy and excellent company!  We were doing some quick math and realized we have 4 milestone birthdays to celebrate this year!  10 yrs, 40 yrs, 60 yrs & 70 yrs.  That's pretty exciting.  Looking forward to all the LeBlanc birthday celebrations ahead in 2013.

We hope Elaine and Bob are having a wonderful vacation - full of sunshine and rum and cokes.

Jake's Basketball team also played their final game on Saturday morning.  It was a heartbreaker - they played their hearts out but were down a few players and ended up with a lot of 5 on 4 scenarios that didn't go in their favour.  Jake has wonderful coaches and a great group of team mates...while getting to practice was like pulling teeth (sometimes) he's now very sad the season is over ;)  (Jake is #32)

As well, on Sunday I participated in the 2nd Annual Tri-the-Oval.  which is a mini triathlon at the halifax oval (involving a skate, a bike and a run component)....MaryJane was our runner, Maria our amazing biker and I pulled up the rear as the runner.  The weather was .... well...  terrible! HA.  it was cold and wet and icy...but we managed to have fun.  It definitely wasn't easy - even though each component was only 4-6km.  Since you all know me already there's little shame in sharing this Global video - i'm interviewed part way through.

I think we'd consider doing it again but would be better prepared for such a wet day - it was freezing to be out there in the rain and cold for an hour before actually running...I can't imagine those amazing folks who did the whole event on their own!  wow.

We have also started Andre's "40 days to 40" celebrations...tonight he chose black nibs (candy for those who might not know) and new socks from the popsicle sticks the kids created for him.  So we shall be giving him those treats to enjoy leading up to his birthday :)....what will be next?  Check back here for updates! HA
