music makes things better

We are getting closer....we had a lovely Easter weekend that involved lots of sweets, treats and a fabulous egg hunt - thanks Easter Bunny ;).  Here are the kids with their decorated eggs - they did a fabulous job with these new egg "markers" although i'm still not clear if it's ok to eat the small blue bits of your egg where the ink leaks through.  You can see Sofia in a beautiful Paris hoodie thanks to meme and pepe!

Andre had tickets to the Aliant Box at the Metro Centre so we were lucky enough to attend a Mooseheads playoff game.  I was very impressed that the kids actually paid attention to the game.  I had to sneak off with them when the game went into overtime as Andre had to stay and continue to host the guests in the box.  Thankfully the Mooseheads won!

Finally, every April the school hosts "music night" which involves the violin and cello groups, the choir and the grade 6 band. It's a wonderful night that displays all the amazing musical talent in the kid's school.  This year they sang a beautiful Portuguese song called "O Cirandiero"- it was amazing to listen to such a beautiful song sung by our children.  here is a you tube sample of another primary school singing the song.
