Crockpot season

I am starting 2013 with a new meal strategy!  I have been reading a lot of blogs and pinterest posts about easy crockpot meals and how it helps with meal planning and budgets.  So, i've taken a number of recipes and frozen them so they are ready to go. I decided to start with a few that seemed yummy and make a single batch.  If we like them I will make more, if we don't we'll throw the recipe away. HA.

So far I have Chicken with sweet potatoes, veggie soup, beef stew and pork....i'm going to freeze ribs this week and below is a picture of mediterranean beef roast we are going to try tonight.  Fingers crossed these are all a success as it will make me feel better about the family eating healthy food and a hot meal.  And it should help us with all the extra curricular we have on - so we can fill our bellies and get out the door on time!

Today Sofia is sick again so I'm home with her.  Thankfully I have a very understanding boss and an employer that allows family days.  Poor Andre is also still not 100%.  I am really not enjoying january lately.  Seems like if it's January the LeBlanc family will get sick!  I do hope meme and pepe are feeling stronger today.

In the happy news department we've booked flights for Paris in May!!  We are all very excited to see France and our family there.  I have started talking to J and S about what activities they want to do or what things they'd like to see - in an effort to include them in the planning and get them excited about it.  So far they would like to see some art, parks a sporting event and take a boat ride (they are basing all this on the activities we did in Boston this summer).

On that note I really should take some time today and get back to my french homework - I've had a 3 week break which likely wasn't a great idea...but I know I wouldn't have had time to fit it in anyway.
