The kids did great at their school spring fair. I was busy as volunteer coordinator - running from event to event (with the Event chair) to make sure everything was running smoothly, Andre was busy running the hockey game with the kids...so our kids were able to run around and play games and enjoy the bouncies as they wished. I am happy to say I was very impressed by how responsible they were. They checked in regularly (my guess is because we held the tickets to buy snacks!) and stayed with their friends. The pouring rain outside didn't seem to dampen spirits...I lost count at around 400 people. Hooray us!! Although I have to say, I think I took on too much with everything else in our lives - it was over 2 months of meetings, emails and coordinating just for the 1 event. I am not sure what to do next year. Ideally someone else will step up and take over my role eventually...but I'm not sure we're there yet. Perhaps next year will be easier with more of us experienced in how it all runs? fingers crossed!
Both Jake and Sofia enjoyed birthday parties - which is always a treat! And we took the kids to see Madagascar 3 as a family. Very cute.
Sunday we were able to get into the garden, during a nice window of warm sunshine in the afternoon. And then Sunday dinner was delicious thanks to meme and pepe. We all rolled home - so nice to be able to walk.
Today I finally had a minute (while jake and Andre were at soccer and Sofia and I were home from gymnastics having dinner).....so I treated myself to toast with some yummy jam sent all the way from Paris!! yum. thanks to sara it was the perfect snack. xxoo
