fun with fog

Poor Andre has been stuck in St. John's for over 24 hours now. He's hopeful that he'll get home tonight - not certain, but hopeful.  He has a flight booked, a charter reserved, a 2nd flight reserved to another airport in Newfoundland and is also inquiring about a possible company plane to get a few of them out today.  One of those 4 has to pan out right? At the earliest he'll be home for 10pm tonight.  Poor thing just wants to be home - and we want him back! 


My goodness what an ordeal.


I have to admit the timing isn't great. I had to work yesterday, regularly my day off, as our office hosted our annual Atlantic Conference.  A bit of a crazy day and is pretty much full on with delegates from all 4 provinces, Ottawa, Toronto and this year Australia.  But We did a great job and most hiccups weren't noticed by the attendees.  yeah us!


Both kids are healthy so that's a plus in the world of single parenting.  I've managed to get to and from Saturday morning activities just fine.  the kids did great!  thankfully they are superstars on Saturdays.  They both LOVE their activities so it's easy to get them out the door.  Jake had a blast at Neptune and Sofia's an amazing tapper (likely biased mother's opinion ;) )...we snuck in a quick stop at Pete's to replenish supplies for the busy day we had planned.  Again, superstars!


We managed to host a double playdate - all 4 kids are lovely which makes it a fun afternoon.  And now we are taking a break before we move onto the last activity for the day - sleepover! HAHA.  I realize this all sounds rather ambitious but when planned I wasn't going to be doing it all solo.  and the kids were so excited, I didn't really have a valid reason to cancel.  So here we are. 80% through the day and it's been lovely!  We will get through.  We will get through...


Tomorrow...I hope to sneak out for a little down time and then we'll all be back to 100% for the start of a new week.
