Sleepover was a success - Andre made it home in time to give the boys one of his famous bedtime stories. we all fell asleep happy - likely Andre most of all.
Today is a beautiful bright and sunny spring day. Perfect for anything. bike rides, basketball, street hockey, a hike, gardening, sitting in the sun reading a book. LOVE IT!
Today we are hoping to continue our "front yard facelift". the beautiful plants are in, Rhododendrons, Japanese Maple, Burning Bush, Quince, Coral-belle, Euonymus, Hosta & Solomon Seal (Hydrangea to be added later in the season and boxwoods next year)...next up removing the green cast iron downspouts from the original design when waste waster was allowed to run into the foundation and into the sewer system. and then a new coat of paint on the cement foundation. Eventually, when that is done we will add 4-5" of mulch to the top of the beds to finish it off. I will try to have a photo journal of the process. Right now the plants are little but I like it this way. I am excited to watch our garden grow :)
